It’s officially the holiday season! It's time to really promote your business and product through the use of effective marketing. Marketing is how we build a relationship with our customers, which in turn, generates sales for our business. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday quickly approaching, so IF you haven’t created a holiday marketing campaign, or if you are wondering how to produce sales during the holidays, then I want to help you. I want to dare you to inspire this holiday season.
I worked in retail like every other normal 18 year old and one of the brand standards was that we had to be aware of how we were inspiring customers to make a purchase. As business owners, we need to do the same. The good news is that you can buckle down and create an easy holiday marketing campaign in the next couple of days.
You will see your sales rise and create great relationships with your clients this week. So today's show is going to focus on the simple things you can do this season in order to build a solid friendship with your fans. I'll tell you my 4 simple steps to creating a quick and easy holiday marketing campaign.
Here is what you need to be doing this holiday season:
- The first thing you must do is come up with a theme for the holidays… all the major companies do this, Starbucks is the best example… In order to create an effective campaign our customers need to understand what we wish for them this season, and how are products can help them.
- Once a theme is chosen, make sure that you leverage it in online presence. Does your Facebook show a picture that displays these theme's feeling? Is there products that will help customers feel this way… are there things you are doing personally to feel this way… is there a story you can tell them to enhance this message?
- The third thing you must do is decide on what you are offering them… do they get a gift with their purchase? Starbucks does the: buy one share one event. The offer must inspire them to purchase more than normal. Tis the season for holiday specials.
- The fourth thing you must do is actually create your marketing… write the email copy, create the Facebook posts and customer experience BEFORE the holidays. This is often the hard part but, once you have a theme to go off of you just have to make sure that you stick to that theme… sticking with the theme is the best thing that you can do. You want to make sure your theme inspires them to make a purchase, so be sure to communicate that effectively.
These could be traditional emails… with writing or Facebook posts or pictures, or a video… As home business owners we are a one man show and we don’t have the time or energy to create a ton of this if it is going to take forever so keep it SIMPLE… very simple. You don’t need to bombard your fans with hoopla. Focus on the theme and people will see the value it adds.
